Ultra-Sonic Pulse Velocity Test
After the removal of formwork on one of the bridge concrete beam at the Garissa site, visible honeycombing was observed on both faces of the girder. Pro-Skills Engineers Ltd was engaged to carry out an Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) Test on the 12 m upper section of the beam, where honeycombing was observed. The purpose of the test was to evaluate the internal quality of the concrete and determine whether defects such as voids, cracks, or non-homogeneous areas existed within the section.
Phased construction planning, strict safety management, quality control systems, and integrated engineering coordination ensured timeline and cost certainty.
Project delivered on schedule and within budget, achieving full operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and long-term production reliability.
